Actuator Controllers
CMC offers three types of actuator controllers that can position:
- electric actuators;
- hydraulic actuators or;
- pneumatic actuators.
All CMC actuator controllers feature automatic calibration, exceptional accuracy and a high level of configurability ensuring seamless integration, usability and customization. Models are available for Modbus RTU-485 and Profibus protocols.
CMC actuator controllers can handle a broad range of actuator speeds and different physical configurations. They can be used to control a wide range of electric, hydraulic or pneumatic actuators.
The mAC185-MB controller is supplied in a 120VAC and 12/24VDC version. This is a DIN rail mounted controller that accepts either potentiometer or quadrature encoder inputs. The AC outputs are designed to control motor starters or small motors up to 4A. The DC controller is designed to operate with external control relays. Inputs are provided for limit switches on both versions.
The mGP145-MB is similar to the mAC185-MB actuator controller except it is packaged in a weatherproof aluminum enclosure and includes a quadrature encoder. This controller provides a low cost solution to automating basement gates in grain handling facilities using hydraulic or electric actuators. The controller requires a single limit switch for the fully closed position. The built-in encoder is capable of multi-turn operation. A field interconnect is available to simplify installation. The mGP145-MB is only available for 120VAC outputs.

The mAC112 is a Profibus DP actuator controller. It is DIN rail mounted and provides 120VAC outputs to control motor starters or small motors up to 4A. Inputs are provided for open and close limit switches and motor over temperature. Two uncommitted inputs are avaialble for general purpose I/O. All inputs are 120VAC. The controller is fully Profibus DP compliant and has been tested and certified by the Profibus Trade Organization. Complete configuration of the controller is provided through the Profibus setup profile using a device specific GSD file. The controller will accept either a potentiometer or quadrature encoder feedback. A switchable field interconnect is available for connection of the Profibus cabling system. The interconnect allows for network termination and device isolation for easy troubleshooting. |
